Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) Learning Communities
The MSPAS Learning Communities are designed to encourage personal growth, scholarship and collegiality while enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The MSPAS Learning Communities are:

- Honor/Joyce Nichols, PA-C*
- Service/Prentice Harrison, PA-C*
- Leadership/Karen Bass, PA*
*In addition to a thematic designation, each MSPAS Learning Community is further identified by the name of a pioneering African-American physician or physician assistant who paved the way for the next generation of PA leaders.
Topics include:

- Esprit de Corps
- Professionalism
- Leadership
- Advocacy
- Clinical decision-making
In addition to the structured enrichment activities, students have the opportunity to integrate clinical and scientific content obtained across the pre-clinical curriculum as part of the Clinical Investigation series, in which they actively explore aspects of patient care and practice through clinical cases.
