QEP-IPE STUDENT COUNCIL

The Interprofessional Education Student Council is comprised of student representatives from each academic program at MSM: MD, PA, GEBS (PhD & MS), and MPH programs. This Council informs the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) planning teams of student concerns as well as develops student led activities to foster and strengthen student relationships in different programs. 

ROLES OF THE COUNCIL

  • Develop a fall and spring interdisciplinary teambuilding, educational activity
  • Provide input into the IPE program
  • Meet periodically with QEP staff and IPE leadership

Kaleb

kaleb whitfield- master of public health student; ipe student council president

Kaleb Whitfield was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan and raised in Valdosta, Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Georgia State University. Mr. Whitfield is currently a Master of Public Health student at Morehouse School of Medicine, with aspirations of entering health policy with research interest in Maternal and Child Health. 

Alexis Bell

Alexis bell- master of public health student; ipe student council vice-president 

Alexis Bell is a Morehouse School of Medicine Master of Public Health Student from Thomson, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia Southern University – Armstrong Campus, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a focus in Health Education and Promotion. Her research interests include noncommunicable diseases and health disparities among minority communities. Outside of academics and work, Alexis enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

Simone Salter

simone salter- master of medical sciences student; ipe student council recording secretary 

Simone Salter was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia. Prior to matriculating to Morehouse School of Medicine, she worked as a Feeding Specialist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Berlandson Saint Julien

berlandson saint julien- master of medical sciences student 

Berlandson Saint Julien is a Master of Medical Science Student at Morehouse School of Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry Minor from Georgia State University. He currently serves as the President of Greater Health Inc., a nonprofit devoted to providing resources and services to underserved and underrepresented communities to address the health disparities plaguing those communities. In his free time, he enjoys all things basketball.

Brianna Kinnel

brianna kinnel- phd student in biomedical sciences 

Briana Kinnel is from Powder Springs, Ga. She received both her B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Applied Physical Sciences from Georgia Southern University. She is currently a first-year Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Sciences Program here at Morehouse School of Medicine.   

 Cameron Martin

Cameron martin- master of physician assistant studies student 

Cameron Martin is a Master of Physician Assistant Studies student at Morehouse School of Medicine. He is a 13-year military veteran and continues to serve as a Captain in the US Army. He is originally from Spartanburg, SC and attended Clemson University where he received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. His interest are research, orthopedic medicine, and pediatric medicine. Hobbies include surfing, hiking, camping, and traveling.

Erinn Fincher

Erinn Fincher is from Lawrenceville, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia in 2018. She is currently a first-year PA student. Prior to starting PA school at MSM, she worked as a pediatric medical assistant for two years.

Jasmine Watson

Jasmine watson- master of physician assistant studies student 

Jasmine Watson is from Chesapeake, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She also received her Master of Public Health with an epidemiology focus from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Prior to attending MSM’s PA program, she worked in the organ and tissue transplant field.

Rachel Terrell

rachel terrell- Doctor of medicine student 

Rachel Terrell is currently in her second year of the Doctor of Medicine program at Morehouse School Medicine (MSM). She is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University in 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants throughout Atlanta as well as working out, and she aspires to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology upon graduating from MSM.  

Stephen Green

stephen green- doctor of medicine student 

Stephen Green graduated from Georgia State University (GSU) in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, obtaining NREMT EMT-B and PTCB certification within the following year. He has 3+ years of experience in collegiate administration as a student representative within the Undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences at GSU. Stephen’s research interests include stress sensitivity, intractable PTSD, and associated neuroendocrine dysfunctions. Some of his hobbies include carpentry, painting, baking, and programming.

Naomi Campbell
